SECOND AREA PERSON IN THREE DAYS DIES BECAUSE DRIVER CROSSED CENTER LINE

(Darke County, OH)--For the second time in three days, a Whitewater Valley resident is dead because another driver crossed the center line.  Late Tuesday afternoon, investigators said a car driven by 31-year-old Aaron Holmes of New Paris went left of center on Ohio 571 near Greenville.  His car hit an oncoming pickup head-on.  The impact forced the pickup into a car driven by 61-year-old Linda Stebbins of Greenville.  Stebbins was pronounced dead at the scene.  An occupant of the pickup is in fair condition at Miami Valley Hospital.  And, as is so often the case, the person who caused the crash walked away virtually unscathed.  Investigators are working to see what caused Holmes to cross the center line.
