(Richmond, IN)--An agreement between the city of Richmond and Reid Health is now in place that will settle a billing dispute between the two entities. Last year, the city entered into a contract with a company called ELAP to re-price health care cost. But that re-pricing was no accepted by Reid because it must offer the same pricing to all groups. That put some employees at risk of litigation. Now, the city will pay Reid $1.3 million to settle claims through the end of May. The city’s Board of Works must approve the agreement. They’ll meet Thursday.
