(RIO)- Tri-Village High School graduate Clayton Murphy will run for Olympic gold tonight. Murphy runs in the 800-meter finals in Rio at 9:25 this evening. Murphy also runs for the University of Akron. He won the 800 at the Olympic trials, but he barely qualified for the Olympic semifinals after a slower than expected first round. Murphy finished second in his semifinal heat to qualify for the finals. He has a gold medal from his first international competition, the 2015 Pan American Games.
