(Milton, IN)--A state trooper was working outside at his home near Milton Monday night when a drunk man on a riding lawn mower rolled into the trooper’s driveway. That man, who was later identified as 22-year-old Samuel Wilson of Connersville, was also carrying a five-year-old boy. Wilson asked for a tow but quickly became belligerent. At one point, he allegedly pulled a knife on the trooper and used his five-year-old son as a human shield. Other officers arrived and subdued Wilson. His blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit. His son was not hurt.
