(Richmond, IN)--A contract between Richmond Community Schools and the union representing its teachers was approved in a unanimous vote by the school board Wednesday night. The board also Wednesday night agreed to go forward with obtaining bids for student laptops. Each student in grades 5 through 12 would receive laptops. The plan was delayed a year when the teachers’ union filed an unfair labor practice complaint. The goal now is to have the laptops at the start of the next school year.
