NATIONAL ROAD EAST TO REMAIN BUMPY FOR WEEKS

(Richmond, IN)--Road construction on National Road East in Richmond has made driving on the stretch of pavement between Garwood Road and the state line more than just a little bumpy.  And, according to INDOT, it’s not likely to get any better any time soon.  That stretch of highway was part of a patch and pave project that began in the last month or so.  Nathan Riggs at INDOT said Thursday that they ran out of time when the weather turned cold last week.  Many of those patches are rougher than INDOT would typically accept, but it’s too cold to make repairs.  The temperature needs to be above 40, and that’s not forecast to happen for at least two weeks.
