TRI VILLAGE BOARD UPHOLDS HAZING SUSPENSIONS

(New Madison, OH)--The Tri Village School Board Thursday night upheld the suspensions connected to hazing allegations with the basketball team.  "After hearing the suspension appeal, and considering all evidence, the board affirms the order of suspension," said Tim Blevins.  The board met privately for three hours before announcing its decision.  Darke County Chief Deputy Mark Whitaker said there’s no evidence of sexual misconduct, despite some allegations that included using a pencil to sodomize a victim.  "If I would have thought for a second that there was evidence to support a sexual assault or rape, we would advocate the prosecutor's office, on behalf of the victims, to prosecute such crimes."  Misdemeanor charges are still possible.
