(Phoenix, AZ)--A former Centerville man has died after a confrontation with police in Phoenix. It happened last week, and details have now been released. 31-year-old Dustin Selby first robbed a dollar store. "The suspect had held the victim at knifepoint," said a police spokesperson. Officers then found Selby a few blocks away armed with an eight-inch knife. "The suspect hid himself underneath a blanked. He was Tased. The situation escalated from that point," the spokesperson added. One officer opened fire and shot Selby dead when Selby approached. Selby had a criminal record in Wayne County that included burglary and probation violations.
