(Richmond, IN)--There was a shooting in Richmond Monday morning. It happened at around 2 o’clock Monday morning in the 200 block of North 19th. According to scanner traffic, a child called 911 to report that someone had been shot through the shoulder. Officers arrived and recovered a single-shot .22-caliber rifle from a woman on the scene. The victim was initially uncooperative as he was taken to Reid Health. It’s unclear whether the shooting was self-inflicted, accidental, or was the result of a shot fired from someone else. The victim’s identity and condition have not been released.
