CRESTDALE GRANDMOTHER SUES FOR ACCOMODATIONS FOR AUTISTIC BOY

(Richmond, IN)--A Richmond grandmother is suing Richmond Community Schools because her grandson is being kept inside at recess.  The eight-year-old boy has autism and ADHD.  Here’s what Carol Kuss says is the issue with her grandson.  "He has a bad tendency to run and he's very, very fast."  The boy has run out of Crestdale Elementary at least three times this school year.  Once, he ran right into a stranger’s house.  "We're trying to get Crestdale to put in a fence around the playground," Cuss explained.  RCS issued a statement saying that safety is a top priority.  A resolution meeting will likely take place next month.
