(Cambridge City, IN)--The dispute over wastewater at the Gateway Industrial Park is getting more intense. The Cambridge City Town Council this week approved a resolution that asks for intervention from a state agency in the fight to expand wastewater capacity. That expansion is necessary to allow Sugar Creek Packing to grow to 400 employees. In the resolution, Council expresses a willingness to have operations of the Western Wayne Sewer District returned to the town. In the last couple of weeks, Sugar Creek had to pay $30,000 to bring in ten tanks to store wastewater that could not be discharged.
