(Richmond, IN)--It’s business as usual Wednesday morning at the west-side Richmond McDonald’s after an overnight incident. A large fire response was sent to the restaurant on National Road West at 12:45 Wednesday morning on a report of smoke coming from the ceiling. A smoky haze filled the inside, but no fire actually broke out. "It was the air handling system. We ended up shutting it down and told them to get it serviced, said Battalion Chief Jeff Glenn. Firefighters were on the scene for about 2 ½ hours. The restaurant opened as normal Wednesday morning.
