SNOW ASKS RESIDENTS TO PATRONIZE UPTOWN BUSINESSES DURING CONSTRUCTION

(Richmond, IN)--Road construction in Uptown Richmond means an annual event will not be taking place.  "This project has resulted in the cancellation of the Veteran's Day Parade, and I really hate to hear that, said Richmond Mayor Dave Snow.  INDOT says the closure of 8th and Main will last for about three weeks.  Snow said it’s critical to support Uptown businesses.  "We really have to remember that, even though there is road construction, we still must patronize our downtown businesses.  It's very important that they have our support."  Parade organizers considered alternate routes, but ultimately decided against it.
