THREATS CITED AS REASON FOR HELP SHELTER BOARD PRESIDENT'S RESIGNATION

(Richmond, IN)--There’s been more fallout from last week’s revelation that the Help The Animals shelter euthanized seven dogs.  Board President Susan Beeson has now resigned.  Many outspoken residents had called for Beeson to be ousted, even after Help Shelter Director Jamie Glandon was fired.  The Help Center’s website on Wednesday morning pointed to a Saturday protest.  It says "Due to the hatred, protests, and threats from a small number of individuals, (Beeson) felt it was the best decision."  A permanent director will be hired once a new board is in place.
