(Richmond, IN)--An Earlham College icon has died. Landrum Bolling served as Earlham President for over 15 years in a time when the campus grew tremendously. "I would gladly have paid for the priviledge of doing the jobs I have had if I would've had to pay for it," Bolling said in an interview a couple of years ago. He was nationally known for his devotion to global peace and remained active with Earlham. "The college continues to be a very strong institution doing wonderful work," Bolling said in 2014. This was his philosophy: "I've enjoyed life. I think the real secret is to enjoy life, enjoy people, and enjoy what you're doing." Landrum Bolling was 104.
