(Greenville, OH)--Ten officers were sent to the hospital and the Darke County Jail was shut down yesterday after methamphetamine circulated through the air ducts. It’s a result of an incident that happened Tuesday when a man dropped a baggie of meth as he was being booked into jail. Air handling units were turned back on yesterday, and that circulated some of the meth residue. More than two dozen inmates were transferred to jails in neighboring counties. The jail operation will remain closed for a more thorough decontamination.
