(Franklin County, IN)--Franklin County has now joined several other counties across the area and the country in suing pharmaceutical companies over the opioid epidemic.  Franklin County is looking to recoup the cost of dealing with people with opioid addictions.  The county ranked 10^th on a per capita basis in Indiana for opioid deaths.  The county will not pay any legal fees associated with the suit, but would surrender a percentage of any settlement if successful.  Wayne County commissioners recently decided against suing pharmaceutical companies.
