(Montgomery County, OH)--The National Weather Service issued reports Tuesday on the storms that rolled through the area on Monday night. They say multiple tornadoes touched down. The closest touched down about five miles east of the Preble County line. It grew to an EF-3 tornado and was on the ground for 20 miles. Although storm damage was significant in the New Madison area, the National Weather Service did not make the determination that it was a tornado, but more likely was strong straight-line winds.
