(Cambridge City, IN)--A half-million-dollar offer to help the Western Wayne Sewer District from Wayne County Commissioners has been unanimously rejected. The offer was made to help with the construction of more wastewater treatment capacity to allow for expansion at the Gateway Industrial Park. The Sewer Board refused the offer because several conditions were attached to it. Those conditions included allowing commissioners to appoint four members to the sewer board. The entire project is now expected to cost in excess of $15 million.
