(Whitewater Valley)--There’s been a jump in unemployment across the Whitewater Valley. Every Indiana county is our area has seen rates rise by about a half-percent in the last month. Fayette County now has the highest unemployment in the state at 4.7%. Wayne County’s rate has risen to 3.6%, with 152 more people now counted as unemployed. Also, Wayne County has 512 fewer people working than were at this time last year. Rates for the Ohio counties in our area come out Tuesday.
