(Richmond, IN)--Semi drivers can continue to park their vehicles in residential driveways in Richmond.  Richmond Common Council on Monday night voted down an ordinance that would’ve forced semi drivers to park in other locations.  One person, Amber Daggy, spoke in favor and talked about buyers who backed away from a house for sale.  "They had really great interest in it and were going to buy the property.  Upon a second viewing - that's when the semi was parked next door - they declined their offer and pulled it back," Daggy said.  Several truckers, like Jeff Hargas, spoke against the proposal.  "I've spoken with my neighbors.  I've been parking my truck there for five years.  Nobody has had any complaints," Hargas explained.  Council voted down the ordinance Monday night 8-1, with Bruce Wissel casting the lone favorable vote.
