(Richmond, IN)--After being denied a flooding claim by the city of Richmond’s insurance carrier, Phillips Drugs has now sued the city, a contractor, and a design firm. Water begin infiltrating Phillips’ basement earlier this year during the construction process. No one seems to deny there’s a water issue, but all three entities being sued have blamed each other in a series of letters. The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in Wayne Circuit Court. Phillips is seeking unspecified damages, although in an earlier filing it claimed the damage was $7700. On Tuesday, the city posted on its Facebook page photos of repair work being done just outside Phillips.
