(Preble County, OH)--construction backup on westbound I-70 around Richmond Thursday led to yet another serious crash in Preble County. One person was trapped after two vehicles collided about five miles from the state line. That person was flown to a Level One Trauma Center. His or her name and condition have not been released. Two other people sustained minor injuries. The interstate was closed until 8 o’clock Thursday night. Friday morning, crews were removing barrels around Richmond that had reduced 70 to one lane. But those barrels will be going right back up Friday night as crews shift construction from the passing to the driving lane. The construction begins just west of Chester Boulevard, but backups are again expected to extend well into Preble County.
