(Richmond, IN)--On Thursday, 32-year-old Jesse Boggs was sentenced to 17 ½ years for his role in the murder of James Herbolt II two years ago. Boggs was the first of four men charged in the case. Herbolt was killed two years ago and his body was dumped in a field near Nolands Fork Road. A murder charge against Boggs was dropped in exchange for a guilty plea to lesser charges. Boggs admitted to providing materials used to bind Herbolt’s hands to another suspect. Boggs said Thursday that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
