(Richmond, IN)--Multiple witnesses took the stand Wednesday in the murder trial of Eric Lairson in Wayne Superior Court I. Lairson is accused killing Tylissa Isaacs almost two years ago. One witness, who was a counselor at a shelter for battered women, testified about how Isaacs had sought help weeks before her death. Other witnesses testified about a history of violence between the couple. The forensic pathologist who conducted the autopsy talked about evidence of multiple blunt-force injuries. The prosecution wrapped up its case Wednesday afternoon. The defense rested without a single witness. Closing arguments will take place Thursday morning. The jury should get the case later in the day.
