(Cambridge City, IN)--It appears the years-long dispute about how to handle wastewater at the Indiana Gateway Industrial Park is over. On Monday night, the Sewer District Board voted unanimously to build a larger wastewater treatment plant. Wayne County leaders had pressed the sewer district to expand capacity to allow SugarCreek to grow and to allow EDC officials to market available tracts of land. SugarCreek now wants to enter a long-term agreement with the District for wastewater treatment. Several details still need to be finalized.
