(Wayne County, IN)--An organization called “Bailing out Benji” has identified Wayne County as being one of the worst in Indiana when it comes to the number of puppy mills. Bailing out Benji works to educate the public about puppy mills and the pet suppliers to which they sell. According to a newly released map, Wayne County has 14 identified puppy mills. Two of them house up to 150 adult dogs. One houses up to 500 adult dogs. Only four Indiana counties have more puppy mills than Wayne County.
