(Richmond, IN)--The city of Richmond has lost 268 members of its workforce in the last year. That’s according to numbers released Monday by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. At the end of 2018, Richmond had 15, 124 potential or active workers. That number today stands at 14, 856. There are also now 239 fewer people actually working. Richmond’s unemployment rate now stands at 3.7%, which is slightly higher than the county-wide rate of 3.3%. Wayne County lost 580 people from its workforce in the last year.
