The sheriff in Wayne County has added coronavirus precautions for the Wayne County Jail and its corrections officers. Sheriff Randy Retter says on-site jail visitation will be suspended until further notice. The sheriff says remote visitation will continue as normal through inmatecanteen.com. Retter says no inmates have tested positive for the virus and that all inmates have medical screenings during intake. The sheriff also says he is taking precaution to separate deputies working inside the jail to avoid potentially transmitting the virus.
