DOCTOR PRAISES LOCAL RESIDENTS FOR HOPEFUL SIGNS

(Richmond, IN)--Wayne County Health Officer Dr. David Jetmore gave the county’s health board positive news Thursday that confirms what recent numbers have shown about the Covid-19 outbreak.  Jetmore told the board that the number of cases is leveling off and that there are hopeful signs that the virus is beginning to taper off.  Jetmore also told the board that Reid Health now has the capability to test a thousand people a day.  The positive numbers prompted Jetmore to say that – if the trend continues – some restrictions at the local level could begin to be lifted in as soon as two weeks.  Jetmore said that all of the positive news is the result of Wayne County residents taking the stay-at-home order seriously and practicing other preventative measures.
