(Richmond, IN)--Some numbers have been released that shows the extent to which Richmond businesses took advantage of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Payroll Protection Plan. That plan supplies small business with forgivable loans that cover payroll and expenses for more than two months. According to the city, in Richmond, there were nearly 550 approved loans through local banks totaling about $70 million of support for local small business. Multiple Richmond bank processed the forgivable loans. Another round of PPP loan applications began Monday, although federal computers crashed just as it opened.
