FATHER OF TEEN SHOOTING VICTIM CLAIMS VICTIM WAS SHIELDING FRIEND

(Richmond, IN)--There have been no arrests in the shooting and killing of a teen in Richmond last Sunday, and now that boy’s father is offering an explanation of what happened.  In the details of a gofundme account, the boy’s father says the 17-year-old " was gunned down in front of his own home while he was shielding one of his friends and trying to protect his girlfriend."  Meanwhile, it appears from scanner traffic during an incident Thursday night that investigators continue to search for a specific person of interest and that there is a BOLO, or “be on the lookout” for that person.  The identity of the victim and any suspects have not been released.
