(Cambridge City, IN)--With an important vote regarding school financing just a few weeks away, Western Wayne School leaders are predicting a significant rise in graduation rates. Western Wayne’s graduation rates have been, by far, the lowest in Wayne County in recent years. Last year, it was 75%. At a recent school board meeting, though, high school principal Renee Lakes said the rate for the Class of 2020 will be between 85 and 100%, depending on how a few students are counted. Western Wayne leaders warned months ago that the district would run out of money soon unless a levy passes in this primary election.
