MAN SHOT AFTER THREATENING OFFICERS NO LONGER LISTED AS HOSPITAL PATIENT

(Richmond, IN)--The man who was shot by a Richmond police officer after stabbing himself and approaching officers was, on Tuesday morning, no longer listed as a patient at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  That’s where 34-year-old Brian Sherer was flown after the incident late Sunday morning with injuries that were initially described as survivable.  There is also no indication that Sherer has been booked into the Wayne County Jail.  The Indiana State Police is handling the investigation and has not released any additional information about Sherer or the status of the officers who were involved in the incident.  No officers were injured.
