(Richmond, IN)--The Richmond Community School Board met Tuesday and laid out its plan for the coming school year.  The decision about whether or not to take part in traditional in-school learning or a virtual learning option will be left up to each parent.  The virtual learning option will be different that the eLearning program that was utilized in the spring.  Students will have to attend a full online day, as opposed to the work-at-your-own-pace structure of eLearning.  Parents have a limited time to decide.  By Tuesday of next week, a form must be filled out to let the school know if parents opt for virtual learning.  School is set to resume four weeks from Wednesday.  If parents send their kids to traditional school, some changes are in store.  Students will be required to wear a mask on the bus, while entering or leaving a building, and during passing periods.  Early release will be used throughout August.  Entry to buildings by visitors will be for essential business only.  All high-touch surfaces will be disinfected much more frequently.  And, students will have assigned bus seats.
