(Brookville, IN)--Wayne County isn’t the only Whitewater Valley considering a mask mandate. In Franklin County, the Health Board is asking county commissioners to issue the mandate. Although it’s not in place yet, a possible penalty for those who don’t comply has been discussed. Franklin County’s Director of Emergency Management indicated it could be considered a Class B Misdemeanor, punishable by a $1000 fine or up to six months in jail. Commission President Tom Linkel has expressed his opposition to a mask mandate.
