(Wayne County, IN) The Wayne County Commission has approved a mask mandate on a 2 to 1 vote this morning, during the regular commission meeting. While the Commission has approved a mandate, it is not yet in effect, because the Commission will have to write an ordinance to be approved at the next meeting. As for enforcement, it is unclear what penalties, if any, will be imposed if people do not wear masks. Commissioner Mary Anne Butters suggested offenders could be handed a flyer. This mandate also does not cover the City of Richmond.
