(Richmond, IN)--There was a change in plans Wednesday night with the start of the Richmond Community School year. Before Wednesday night, students at Richmond High School and Test and Dennis Intermediate Schools had the option of attending school in-person five days a week. Wednesday night, though, the RCS Board approved a change that means that, if students at those three schools want to attend in person, they’ll only be doing it two or three days a week. On the days they’re not in school, those students will get virtual instruction. The change is to allow for increased social distancing and will be in effect for at least the first six weeks of school. About a thousand, or roughly 25%, of students in the system, have opted to learn from home exclusively.
