LOCAL COUNTIES APPEAR ON STATE MAP TO HELP SCHOOLS WITH COVID DECISIONS

(Whitewater Valley)--Indiana has launched a new color-coded map that’s intended to help schools with in-person attendance decisions as those schools deal with Covid-19.  Each county is either blue, yellow, orange, or red.  The color indicates to schools how they should operate based on the number of new cases in the past week per 100,000 residents and the change in positivity.  Today, Wayne County is in the yellow.  Randolph, Franklin, and Henry County are blue counties, meaning the safest.  Union County is colored orange, while Fayette County is red – meaning the most significant spread.  Local schools are not bound by the color coding system.
