(Richmond, IN)--Richmond city leaders continue to urge residents to complete the census with a deadline less than three weeks away. Doing so is important to secure various types of funding. Richmond’s response rate is very low at only 60%. Demographics play a big role in whether or not residents have completed the census so far. Between East Main and North E, which is generally high crime and low income, only 40% of the residents have bothered with the census. But, in the more affluent and much lower crime areas of Reeveston, Hunter’s Pointe, and Meadow Park, 83% have already completed their census.
