(Richmond, IN)--The organizer of a Black Lives Matter march that ended with an incident at North 7th and A in Richmond last month took to social media Sunday to attempt to raise money for the legal defense of five people who were charged with misdemeanors. The five are accused of obstructing traffic, while the driver is charged with leaving the scene of an accident. In an affidavit that became public on Friday, witnesses stated that marchers pounded on the SUV as is passed through the march and that the vehicle was moving slowly. Dents were found on the hood and driver’s rear door. The driver was charged because he failed to stop following the incident.
