DEFENDANTS IN BLM INCIDENT WON'T BE JAILED BEFORE HEARINGS

(Richmond, IN)--The six people now charged criminally as a result of the Black Lives Matter incident in Richmond last month have not gone to jail and won’t, at least before their cases are heard in court.  That’s because Wayne Superior Court III Judge Darrin Dolehanty on Monday issued summonses rather arrest warrants.  A summons means the defendants are required to show up later this month; an arrest warrant would have resulted in them being booked into jail.  All six are charged with various misdemeanors.
