(Eaton, OH)--Three Eaton heroes were recognized for the efforts this week. Preble County Deputy Andrew Forrer and Good Samaritans Tim Crase and Alan Miller appeared at Eaton City Council this week. Last month, they entered a burning home and rescued a wheelchair-bound elderly man. " I think it's part of my job. Those gentlemen that were there with me...I felt deserved all the credit. They had no obligation to do anything, but the stepped up," said Deputy Forrer. One of the two Good Samaritans was taking his son to the dentist when he saw the burning house and the wheelchair ramp and decided to intervene.
