ALLEGEDLY INTOXICATED TEEN DRIVER STRIKES PEDESTRIAN

(Richmond, IN)--An allegedly intoxicated teenager caused serious injury when he struck a pedestrian in Richmond and then fled the scene Monday night.  It happened near North West 4th and E.  A female victim was struck and was injured seriously enough to require a medical helicopter.  Her name and condition Tuesday morning has not been released.  The driver was 18-year-old Nathaniel Ervin.  Ervin continued on and allegedly caused another accident with injury in the 1400 block of North West 5th.  He is facing a long list of charges that include Operating While Intoxicated Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
