(Richmond, IN)--The Richmond Community School Board Wednesday night discussed a potentially major reconfiguration of some schools. The issue is with Test and Dennis Intermediate Schools. By next school year, there will be 166 more students at Test than at Dennis, and Test is running out of space. Two solutions are redrawing boundary lines or forcing transfers. But the option that seems to have the most traction now is making one building a 5th and 6th grade only building and making the other a 7th and 8th grade only building. Right now, it’s all in the discussion stage. The Board will take the issue up again in two weeks. Public feedback is encouraged through the school’s website.
