WAYNE COUNTY TO CRACK DOWN ON SCHOOL BUS STOP-ARM VIOLATORS

(Wayne County, IN)--The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday that it will be cracking down on drivers who disregard the stop arms on school busses when those busses are picking up or dropping off students.  "Violating this simple safety rule is a jailable offense and can be a serious felony in certain circumstances," said Sheriff Randy Retter.  Over the next couple of months, deputies will be positioned along bus routes to watch for drivers who go around extended stop arms.
