STATS INDICATE 80% OF WAYNE CO. RESIDENTS AGE 65 OR MORE HAVE RECEIVED VACCINE

(Wayne County, IN)--If Wayne County has vaccinated its older residents for Covid-19 at the same rate seen across Indiana, it would mean that a large majority of the most vulnerable local residents have received at least the first dose.  Wayne County has just shy of 13,000 residents who are at least 65 years old.  According to the state’s dashboard, more than 10,000 of those older residents, or 80% have received at least the first dose.  98% of Wayne County residents who have died with Covid-19 have been at least 60 years old.
