COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS STIMULUS INCOME OF $12.8 MILLION

(Richmond, IN)--Wayne County commissioners will meet Wednesday and are likely to resume discussion about what to do with an influx of millions of dollars.  Wayne County is now expected almost $12.8 million as part of the American Rescue Plan for Covid-19.  "We do know that, when we get it, we're going to have to be responsible for it.  We will be audited on it.  If we spend it incorrectly, we would have to pay that money back," said Wayne County Commissioner Ken Paust.  The money amounts to close to half of all of the county’s budgeted expenditures for this year.  The city of Richmond is expecting more than $7.3 million.
