(Wayne County, IN)--It’s the news everyone who lives in Indiana has waited for. "On April 6, the face-covering mandate will become a state mask advisory," said Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb on Tuesday announcing that Indiana’s mask mandate will end in 13 days. But, each local county will be able to institute more stringent guidelines, and Wayne County has already indicated that it would be willing to do just that if the numbers warrant. Holcomb also announced Tuesday that the minimum age to get the Covid-19 vaccine will drop to 16 just on March 31. Also on April 6, capacity limitations on events like sporting events, concerts, and festivals will be handed over to individual counties.
