(Wayne County, IN)--Wayne County’s syringe exchange program is expanding and will soon offer remote distribution.  The Health Department’s new mobile unit will be used to distribute syringes to addicts at Phillips Drugs locations downtown and on National Road West on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning next month.  Distribution of syringes will continue at the Health Department at South 5^th and A.  The program runs through at least July.  Wayne County Prosecutor Mike Shipman has been a long-time opponent of the program.
